Part 1 introduces the memoir writing process and includes a workbook.

Part 2 continues the process with more detail on writing your story. While you can attend in any order, you may find more value in starting with Part 1.

CURRENT FICTION PROJECT: I’m working on a novella that is a prequel to my new series. “A HOME FOR CHRISTMAS” introduces Claire Henderson and her life after the death of her beloved husband, Parker.

Claire is in search of a life that has meaning now that she’s on her own. For the first time, she is focusing on herself and what she wants to accomplish. She needs to let their daughters know that she’s selling their house. The next step depends on the answer she receives to a letter she sent out earlier in the fall.

I’m enjoying the time I spend with Claire and her family and friends and curious to see what readers think. The book will be released soon. WATCH THIS PAGE FOR MORE INFO!

SHORT STORIES: I’ve also been writing short stories, some romance and some mystery. A few markets exist for them so I’ve sent a few out. A good mind-jogger. I’m happy to share that I did publish a story in Woman’s World in May 2022, “Truly Picture Perfect.” A fun 5 minute romance based on the painting classes I’d been attending. The characters from other stories are being kept around as possible secondary characters in a novel.

 

CURRENT NONFICTION PROJECT:  I’m working on two ideas right now, both tied to my other lives. One is a Memoir Workbook to go along with the “Your Story, Your Legacy” classes that I teach. For those who can’t attend my workshops or want a reminder/refresher of what we’ve covered, this will be a companion book to Wayne Groner’s A Guide to Writing Your Life Story, the resource I use in the classes. I’ve sent out a rough copy to a friend or two and they’re enjoying the activities. Now to finish putting it all together for others.

The second idea is a collection of the weekly blogs I’ve been posting on my Facebook page: Monday Musings. I’ll also start posting those here on my website
